Micropollutants in Urban Runoff from Traffic Areas: Target and Non-Target Screening on Four Contrasted Sites

چکیده
Although runoff from trafficked urban areas is recognized as a potentially significant pathway of micropollutants, pollution remains poorly documented, except for relatively few historical pollutants such some metals and hydrocarbons. Therefore, in this work, road parking lot four sites with contrasting traffic levels were analyzed very broad spectrum molecules elements. A total 128 micropollutants monitored, including inorganic (n = 41) organic 87) pollutants. Both the dissolved particulate phases considered. For reduced number samples, non-targeted screening by high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) was carried out. targeted screening, contamination profiles quite homogeneous, but concentrations significantly differed between different sites. Sites highest density exhibited polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), traffic-related metals, alkylphenols phthalates. Overall, most lowest concentrations, specificity site confirmed its HRMS fingerprint. Non-target allowed to be discriminated based on occurrence specific compounds. Unlike results intra-site variability lower than inter-site variability. Unknown substances tentatively identified, either characteristic each or ubiquitous all samples.

Opaque Information, Deviation from Target Leverage and Speed of Adjustment
Information opacity leads to information asymmetry. In this situation, in providing their own financial needs, firms face limitations and inevitably provide their financial needs from the debt market by signalling private information to it. In addition, information opacity affects the leverage adjustment speed. This research investigates the effect of information opacity on deviation from targe...
متن کاملThe Traffic Safety Problem in Urban Areas
As the number of people who reside and work in urban areas increases, so, too, do the needs and demands placed on the infrastructure. This has led to severe congestion in many European cities, a situation which affects not only the environment in terms of pollution, but most notably levels of traffic safety. In Europe, tens of thousands of people are killed in road traffic accidents, and more t...

The paper presents an advanced system for railway and road traffic noise monitoring in metropolitan areas. This system is a functional part of a more complex solution designed for environmental monitoring in cities utilizing analyses of sound, vision and air pollution, based on a ubiquitous computing approach. The system consists of many autonomous, universal measuring units and a multimedia se...
متن کاملThe effect of target and non-target similarity on neural classification performance: a boost from confidence
Brain computer interaction (BCI) technologies have proven effective in utilizing single-trial classification algorithms to detect target images in rapid serial visualization presentation tasks. While many factors contribute to the accuracy of these algorithms, a critical aspect that is often overlooked concerns the feature similarity between target and non-target images. In most real-world envi...

This paper describes a prototype aircraft that can fly slowly, safely and transmit wireless video for tasks like reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition. The aircraft is designed to fly in closed quarters like forests, buildings, caves and tunnels which are often spacious but GPS reception is poor. Envisioned is that a small, safe and slow flying vehicle can assist in performing dul...
